Programs and Hours of operation
Dandelion is currently in session Monday through Thursday. First-year children generally attend Dandelion three days per week, but may be able to attend four days per week if there’s space. The regular school day goes from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Morning extended care is available on a drop-in basis from 8:30-9 am ($5/day), and afternoon extended care ($15/day) is offered until 2:00 pm.
Dandelion’s commitment to operating safely during COVID-19
- We closely monitor and comply with guidelines issued by the City of Berkeley and Alameda County
- We are following enhanced cleaning protocols, including frequent sanitizing of high-touch surfaces throughout the school day and close attention to proper hand hygiene. The school is professionally cleaned weekly.
- Much of the school day is spent outside, including drop-off and pick-up. Students are required to wear a properly fitted cloth face mask upon entering the school building.
- We are committed to maintaining small cohort sizes. Enrollment is currently capped at 27 students, and there is a daily limit of 24 students.
- As a parent co-op, participation in the classroom remains a key component of the program.
