Dandelion is a play based co-operative preschool in which parents and teachers share in the operation of the school and are actively involved together in the classroom.
Program
- Ages: 2.9 to 5 Years Old
- Hours: Monday through Fridays from 9am to 12:30pm
- Extended Care: 8:30-9am and 12:30-2pm
- Class Size: 24 children to 6 adults (2 teachers and 4 participating parents)
Participation
Parents commit to regular classroom participation as well as other operational responsibilities. Parent participation involves:
- Regular classroom participation
- Monthly evening parent meetings
- Ongoing family job
- Two Saturday work parties
- Fundraising events
The level of weekly classroom participation depends on the number of days the child attends:
- 3 days/week requires ~ 2 to 3 participation days/month
- 4 days/week requires ~ 3 to 4 participation days/month
- 5 days/week requires ~ weekly participation
Tuition
- 3 days/wk $413/mo
- 4 days/wk $550/mo
- 5 days/wk $688/mo
NOTE: These are the 2023-24 rates. Tuition typically increases by about 3% every year.
Financial aid is available to qualifying families.
